First Cyna report on Q1 2025 cybersecurity trends: key figures from ransomware.live and an operational lessons-learned review from our CERT team.
We are delighted to present our first report on cybersecurity trends. From now on, every quarter we will share the figures along with a lessons-learned review from our CERT following the handling of the threats and attacks identified.
The figures presented in this report come from the ransomware.live platform, an international observatory of ransomware attacks based on publications by malicious groups and information leaks available in open source.
This database provides a near real-time view of global cybercriminal activity, in particular of public extortion campaigns.
In addition to this analysis, the Cyna CERT shares, later in this report, an operational lessons-learned review based on incidents handled during the first quarter of 2025.
Nathan Bramli, our Head of Cyber at Cyna, will also give his views on the data presented.
